Sean has been diving for over 18 years and teaching for 12. As a PADI Course Director, Mermaid Instructor, EFR Instructor Trainer, DAN Instructor, and HSA Instructor, Sean leads the Space City Dive Center crew with passion and experience.

Sean takes pride in leading the passionate team and students at Space City Dive Center, describing them as “an incredible group of people who make diving here truly special.”

For Sean, the best part of teaching is watching new divers take their first breath underwater and seeing their confidence grow with every dive. Whether it’s through continuing education or just joining a weekend fun dive, watching divers progress is what keeps him inspired.

Sean’s favorite dives include wrecks, night dives, cold-water adventures, and the vibrant reefs of Roatan, Honduras— his top pick thanks to its incredible coral formations and relaxed Caribbean vibe. On his bucket list: ice diving in Alaska.

He first discovered diving after a snorkeling trip in Maui, where he spotted scuba divers below and thought, “I want to do that!” One Discover Scuba session later, he was hooked for life.

He’s known around the shop for saying “Keep Diving” — a simple motto that captures his belief that every dive makes you a better, more confident diver.

When he’s not in the water, Sean can be found camping, hiking, or working in his wood shop. You might even catch him on his Sean Does DIY YouTube channel, where he shares creative builds and projects.
