The Emergency First Response Primary & Secondary Care course focuses on the skills needed to respond effectively during the most common medical emergencies. This course is designed to be practical, approachable, and confidence-building, with no medical background required.
Primary Care training addresses life-threatening situations where immediate action is critical, such as cardiac arrest, breathing emergencies, or severe bleeding. Secondary Care focuses on injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening but still require proper assessment and care.
Training combines online learning with hands-on practice, allowing you to learn the concepts first and then apply them through realistic, instructor-led scenarios. The goal is to help you feel comfortable taking action, stay calm, and provide care until professional medical help arrives.
At Space City Dive Center, EFR training goes beyond checking a box. Our instructors emphasize understanding, repetition, and confidence so you leave prepared to use these skills in real life, whether at home, at work, while traveling, or during diving activities.
