The PADI Full Face Mask specialty is designed for certified divers who want to expand their equipment knowledge and experience a different way of diving. Full face masks are commonly used in cold water, professional diving environments, and situations where enhanced comfort or communication is beneficial.

In this course, you’ll learn how to properly fit and use a full face mask, manage buoyancy and breathing, and safely switch to a backup air source if needed. The emphasis is on comfort, control, and confidence while using equipment that behaves differently than a traditional mask and regulator setup.

At Space City Dive Center, Full Face Mask training focuses on real-world application and safety. Divers are coached through proper techniques in a controlled environment before applying those skills in open water, ensuring a smooth and confident transition to this equipment style.

Equipment Requirements

• Space City Dive Center provides all major scuba equipment, including BCD, regulator, dive computer, exposure protection, tanks, and weights.
• Students are encouraged to use their own full face mask if they have one. Rental full face masks are available if needed.
• Students are also required to provide their own personal gear, including fins and boots. Mask and snorkel are not required for this course.
