The PADI Underwater Videographer specialty is designed for certified divers who want to document their dives through video without sacrificing control, safety, or respect for the environment. Underwater video adds task loading, so the focus of this course is on technique, planning, and situational awareness.
In this course, you’ll learn how to handle video equipment underwater, frame stable shots, and work with light and movement to produce better footage. Equal emphasis is placed on buoyancy, trim, and environmental awareness so your filming enhances the dive rather than distracting from it.

Equipment Requirements
- Space City Dive Center provides all major scuba equipment, including BCD, regulator, dive computer, exposure protection, tanks, and weights.
- Students are required to provide their own personal gear, including mask, snorkel, fins, and boots. Rental packages are available if needed.
- Students are encouraged to bring their own underwater video system if they wish to use one during the course.
