The PADI Mermaid course is the core certification in the PADI Mermaid Program and represents a significant progression in skill, comfort, and underwater ability. This course builds on Basic Mermaid training and focuses on refined movement, improved breath control, and increased awareness while swimming and performing skills underwater.

Participants learn to move more efficiently, manage longer underwater sequences, and demonstrate better control of body position and direction. Training emphasizes smooth transitions, awareness of surroundings, and maintaining safety while developing expressive, confident mermaid movement.

At Space City Dive Center, the Mermaid course is taught as a true aquatic skills program. Certified PADI Mermaid Instructors guide each participant through progressive skill development, helping build confidence and consistency rather than rushing performance.
