The PADI Dry Suit Diver specialty is designed for certified divers who want to extend their dive season and explore colder water environments comfortably. Diving in a dry suit introduces new buoyancy considerations, weighting adjustments, and safety procedures that require proper training.
In this course, you’ll learn how to use a dry suit effectively, manage air movement within the suit, and maintain buoyancy and trim while staying warm and dry. Training emphasizes control, awareness, and problem prevention so dry suit diving feels smooth and predictable.
At Space City Dive Center, Dry Suit Diver training is structured and confidence-focused. Divers begin in a controlled environment before progressing to open water, allowing skills to build naturally without feeling rushed or overwhelming.

Equipment Requirements
- Space City Dive Center provides all major scuba equipment, including BCD, regulator, dive computer, tanks, and weights.
- Students are required to provide their own personal gear, including mask, snorkel, fins, and boots. Rental packages are available if needed.
- Dry suits are required for this course. Students may use their own dry suit if approved by the instructor. Dry suit rentals are available for those who do not have their own.
