PADI Discover Mermaid is an introductory experience designed for strong swimmers who want to explore mermaid skills for the first time. This program focuses on safety, body positioning, and basic underwater movement using a mermaid tail.

During the session, participants learn how to safely enter the water, control movement, and swim efficiently while wearing a mermaid tail. Instruction emphasizes awareness, breath control, and comfort in the water rather than performance or endurance.

At Space City Dive Center, Discover Mermaid is taught as a structured aquatic experience, not free swim or costume play. Certified PADI Mermaid Instructors guide participants step by step, creating a safe, supportive, and confidence-building environment for first-time mermaids.
