The PADI Boat Diver specialty is designed for certified divers who want to become more comfortable diving from boats. Boat diving is common worldwide and introduces procedures that differ from shore diving, including entries, exits, surface coordination, and diver awareness around vessels.

In this course, you’ll learn how to prepare for boat dives, understand common boat types and layouts, and practice safe entries and exits. Emphasis is placed on situational awareness, communication, and working effectively with dive crews and fellow divers.

Equipment Requirements

• Space City Dive Center provides all major scuba equipment, including BCD, regulator, dive computer, exposure protection, tanks, and weights.
• Students are required to provide their own personal gear, including mask, snorkel, fins, and boots. Rental packages are available if needed.
