The PADI Assistant Instructor course is designed for Divemasters who are ready to move from supervision into teaching. This program focuses on developing instructional skills, confidence in presentations, and a deeper understanding of how divers learn.

As an Assistant Instructor, you’ll learn how to conduct academic presentations, assist with confined water and open water training, and independently teach select portions of PADI courses within defined standards. The emphasis is on clear communication, student comfort, and building strong foundational teaching habits.

At Space City Dive Center, Assistant Instructor training is hands-on and mentorship-driven. Candidates train alongside experienced instructors and Course Director Sean Cowher, gaining practical insight into real-world teaching environments rather than just checking boxes.
