The PADI Altitude Diver specialty is designed for certified divers who want to expand their skills beyond sea-level diving. Diving at altitude introduces important differences in pressure, nitrogen absorption, and surface interval planning that require specific knowledge and preparation.
In this course, you’ll learn how altitude affects dive planning, how dive computers adjust for elevation, and how to adapt your procedures for high-altitude environments. The focus is on awareness, planning, and conservative decision-making so you can dive safely and confidently wherever your adventures take you.

Equipment Requirements
- Space City Dive Center provides all major scuba equipment, including BCD, regulator, dive computer, exposure protection, tanks, and weights.
- Students are required to provide their own personal gear, including mask, snorkel, fins, and boots. Rental packages are available if needed.
- Lake entry fees, when applicable, are not included.
